It's beautiful to know that God accepts you as you are, your personality and what you might perceive as 'flaws' or 'quirks'.
In re-affirming this, you know that God KNITTED you in your mothers’ womb (Psalm 139:13). Before mommy and daddy DECIDED that they were going to conceive (or however this happened), God was thinking about you, and then you became a design, His design, specially created, then FORMED you perfectly, detail to detail (Psalm 100:3). Your parents (and the womb) were a CHANNEL for that the same way MARY was a CHANNEL for Jesus. Mary didn’t start saying “Sorry God, I carried Him and even though you helped me to conceive I made Him by pushing so uh…back off I know and decide His destiny.” I'm sure she had a mother's love for sure, but even in comparison to God, that love was limited as God foreknew the utlimate & purposeful birth of that baby Boy :) Thus, each baby's birth has a purpose and it's not because mom and dad were chillin' one night and you were born months later nor were you a 'mistake'…
If we only got a behind-the-scenes exclusive of God's thought process and hearing Him say after each child, "right on time", we'd be very pleased! :)
So, if there is a purpose, that means we must know who and whose we are, right? (this is called the 'being', where we just 'be', and know that in of itself, we have worth and value as God's people) and that also means that there's some work to do right?
Sister, brother, If there is some work for us, then there is NO ONE LIKE YOU ;) You are you. Isn’t that special just thinking of that? That means, what's made for you, is for you :) Keep going because only you can do what only you were made specially fit to do.
This is important because it brings us to our destiny: “Your destiny is far too important to try to FIT into someone’s notion of what you ARE”. i.e. It’s not worth it in comparison to who you REALLY are truly DESTINED to become and DESTINED TO DO; Your DESIGN, is PERFECTLY YOU! You know those people who do drag shows to impersonate let’s say, Tina Turner, that’s NOT your role, lol. Be YOU. Be the STAR YOU’RE meant to be, no need to copy any one else to be “successful”.
You are God’s WORKMANSHIP (FINEST WORK), CREATED to do GOOD WORKS. He PREPARED YOU, in ADVANCE so you can do a particular work.
I want to encourage you not to pull a Jonah but to be a ____(insert your name)__. You are You. Beautifully. I feel like there was a lot of repetition here, but it's important :)
Don’t be afraid to stand out.
God bless you and see you!!! <3
Prepared: 'make ready for use,' 'pre-planned', 'make (someone) ready or be able to do or deal with something - i.e. EQUIPPED. :) <3
For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago -Ephesians 2:10
Identity plays a HUGE role on this blog. I know I don’t post as often, but that’s because life has been happening!! AND also it’s because I usually wait to see what needs to be said :) It will be worth it in the end I believe :) What I do love, is seeing people come to terms of who they are in Christ. It is so wonderful and so beautiful to see people flourish. I thank you so much for reading the online format of this aspect and I thank the Lord for His Word that changes lives and the fact that He cares. He truly cares!
This post is to encourage you to keep going.
Perhaps you’ve come to a place where you’ve stopped being yourself for the sake of another person, or other people.
Perhaps you think if you just do “one more thing”, you’ll fit in… or you’ll break.
You don’t have to do it.
You know why? Because YOU DON’T FIT IN, and you’re not supposed to …. And that’s only because you are unique and were made to stand out, beautifully.
I’ll give you an illustration that showed this a while ago, where I knew that this was true. If you know the story of JOSEPH and his COLORFUL coat, you might recognize a bit of this in the lesson I got. So, a year ago I was at a friends’ (with their permission I am saying this!!) and I told them that I was going to the store. When I left their place, it was dark out, and I was wearing bright clothes. It was starting to get a bit chilly, so they lent me their black jacket. My friend then said, ‘it’s better because you’re too colorful and you stand out’. They meant it as, ‘it’s late and dark and it’s better if you blend in with the night since you’re going to the store in case anyone sees you’. So, I said 'thanks' and 'bye'. Later on that night in my study I got revelation that that’s how the enemy works (and NO my friend is not the enemy! LOL this was a separate lesson played out in ‘real time’ LOL).
In relation to this illustration, the enemy wants us to BLEND in and not be ‘recognizable’, he wants us to ‘stay inside’ our comfort zone or in people’s boxes, closed in, and not ‘BE BRIGHT’ (i.e. He doesn't want us to be a LIGHT, or ourselves in Christ, or authenticated) and he not only TELLS you that, but he JUSTIFIES it… Get it? Okay. ;-) Great!! I hope you do!! ;) :) Fortunately, the good outweighs the bad, and we praise God that He reminds us and lets us know that we are MEANT to be shine and stand out!
So, no matter what’s being said about you right now, or talked about, and you’re trying to force yourself to fit in or subconsciously do so, remember that like JOSEPH, you stand out. Don’t be afraid of that. Like JOSEPH, you might get FLACK for it, your brothers (or sisters) might make you seem like you’re different, or not ‘worthy’/’enough’, but oh, you are. You are. You’re powerful.
