Right now I'm learning about balance. Balance is such an important part of our lives and we definitely need it. If we emphasize on ONE particular part of our life, we can get caught up, and set up by the enemy. Well today, I pray that God also sets you free and gives you revelation about finding balance in your life! Amen. Terri Savelle Foy's once said, "your life will be determined by your daily routine." I agree with her. I think we often choose to live life either stagnant, or via the safest route. We end up choosing not to live up to the potential that we are really capable of. This is why balance is important. Balance helps us to organize priorities in order to make sure that we are getting a bit of everything that we need. As I said, if we just put all our hours into one thing, we start to slip & slide in the other areas. Once the enemy sees that we are slipping in an area (e.g. your marriage), he seizes that opportunity to bring you trouble. 1 Peter 5:8 says: "Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour."
Being sober-minded means conscious of what we do, and being filled with the spirit. Being watchful is...well...being watchful. I don't mean be paranoid about your every move, but I'm saying, assess your life and see whether you are spreading all of the things that need to be done, even resting time :) Balance contains of putting God first (spending time with Him). I don't know about you, but the day I rush or don't pray & be still in the morning is the day I call reallyyyy "interesting". So I definitely have time with the Lord each morning :) We then have to take care of ourself (go pamper yourself!), family, friends, social activities, your health (exercising) and what we are putting in your minds. Writing a practical to-do list definitely helps in remembering what we are to do (sometimes a mental list goes out the head as soon as we go on youtube...sooo you know what I'm talking about! haha!) I got my nudge when the Holy Spirit said: "balance your life." I ended up taking a step back to re-evaluating my life and realized that I didn't need to spend hours emphasize on one thing/task or to make it a such a BIG thing because there are other things needing to be done. Just when things were starting to smooth over, I eventually heard a voice say: "do your best, let God do the rest." Just because we have things to do doesn't mean we need to stress ourselves out. Sometimes we might not accomplish our to-do list that day, or we might strive for "perfection" in what we do, but as the Lord reassured me, He reassures you today as well, that you need to just do your best, and HE will do the rest. Amen. A healthy balance is great in our everyday life, but I encourage you to keep God as your foundation in all that you do. Some of us are in a season of a lot of tasks to be completed, some of us just have a few, but one thing I know is this: staying committed and staying strong will lead you towards the life of abundance & promise. Keep doing what you know your season entails. It will amount to something great. When tough times hit, praise God for the good, get equipped with the amour, and keep on going. The same way God has a plan for you is the same was the devil has one for you too. Don't stop dead in your tracks just because something happened or you opened a weak spot for the enemy. Keep going. Keep holding on, keep going strong. Remember that the Lord will never let anything enter your life that's not worth going through. You are being strengthened as you are, and you are entering into the depths of the sea of grace, of love, of loyalty, of strength, of wisdom, of power, and the Lord will equip you with all that you need. Life will have bumps, but it will be worth it. If we look at the life of Paul, I just have to say that I commend him for always keeping strong and keeping the Lord as His foundation of everything he did. Is the Lord also asking you to re-evaluate your life so you can have a healthy balance? I encourage you to pray about it, and to do a self- examination. How is your spiritual, mental, social, physical life going? Is this the time to start breaking bad habits? Let's do this together! I encourage you to read Scriptures about healthy lifestyles. The Lord wants nothing but the very BEST for you, and to be able to experience life in abundance. Yes, no one's perfect, and we can't juggle it all, but we have a perfect God who can, and He will help you in your pace & in sustaining you. Amen! Once again, keep the faith, and love like you've never loved before. With love always, FAITH by Promises
